“Between Two / Contemplations”: the catalogue

Contemporary textile exhibition of Japan and Lithuania “Between Two / Contemplations” continues the creative conversations of Japanese and Lithuanian textile artists. These are creative dialogues about the textile present, which are interwoven into the program of Kaunas 2022 European Capital of Culture and the festival Japan Days in Kaunas. The idea to organize the exhibition came from maintaining close artistic ties and friendship, which was strengthened by the regular exhibitions in Kaunas, earning the city the title of textile capital. Famous and young textile creators are invited to take part in it, who look at the fragile texture of being, giving shape to what desires to be seen beyond the horizon of our gaze.

Lithuanian and Japanese contemporary textile art exhibition “Between Two / Contemplations” will take place in Kaunas galleries: “Meno Parkas” and “Balta”, and will last till the 29th of May.
