Magic Carpets Open Call

Kaunas Biennial’s partners in the Creative Europe platform Magic Carpets are currently offering international emerging artists the opportunity to take part in2026 residencies. We invite you to apply!

Open calls:

•Riga, Latvia– The New Theatre Institute of Latvia invites an international contemporary dance artist to a collaborative residency focused on inclusive movement and accessibility, developed together with the Latvian Association of the Blind and local dance professionals. •Weaving the Green– A Magic Carpets residency call for artists working with connections between territory, ecology, and community life through socially engaged and environmentally aware artistic practices. Deadline: 9 March. More info here.

•Wrocław, Poland– Wrocław Institute of Culture offers a 4-week artistic research and collaboration residency centered on dialogue and co-creation with the local Korean community, including community engagement and public presentation. Deadline: 15 March 2026. More info here.
