Ieva Martinaitytė-Mediodia (b. 1968, Kaunas, Lithuania) lives and works in New York (USA) and Lithuania. From 1987 to 1993, she studied at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, and from 1992 to 1993, she continued her studies with a visiting painter Kęstutis Zapkus. In 2001, the artist graduated from Hunter College in New York with a Master’s degree in painting. Since 2014, Ieva has been a co-founder and active participant of the Sla307 Artspace, who also collaborated with the well-known Annina Nosei Gallery in New York (USA). She has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions not only in prominent galleries in the USA, but in many European countries as well, including Lithuania, France, Italy, Romania and Finland to name a few. The artist’s works have been acquired by the Lewben Art Foundation, the Museum of Fine Arts in Vilnius, private collectors in Europe and the USA.
