Ghenadie Popescu
Ghenadie Popescu (Floresti, Moldova, 1971) lives and works in Chisinau. Ghenadie Popescu is interested in local (post-communist) particularities of common visions about identity, tradition, geopolitic mixture. Using different forms of expression such as performance, video, and videoanimation, he refers to the absurdity of the world he lives and works in.
Ghenadie Popescu studied at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, Painting Department, on the basis of free attendance, in Chisinau, Moldova. Since 2012 he has mostly involved in personal stop-motion animation projects.
