Socialy orientated art event of the international programme "HEMISPHERES"

About project:

This April five young artists from Kaunas (together with youth from Estonia, Italy, France, Spain, and Ireland)  where participating in the international action-training project in Paris called Hemispheres, coordinated by Kaunas  Biennial and French partner Freres des Hommes. With all the gained information, experience and fresh new ideas participants of Hemispheres are organizing the local event in their home country. Cultural event Being Here event will take place in Kaunas on 11th -13th of June. The event will contain various art exhibitions, art actions, performances, concerts and discussions in relation to the topic of interaction between migration, globalization and development.

The purpose of the project: using various forms of art to reveal different ways of migration – from physical to emocional. To bring the topic of migration up-to-date. To provide an information and create a discussion on this topic. To create possibility to travel through various countries being here - in Kaunas.
